01. When and where will the 2017 conference take place?

The Nice Acropolis Convention Centre, 1 Esplanade Kennedy – BP 4083, 06302 Nice Cedex 4 (France).

Teradata Universe EMEA 2017 starts on Sunday 2 April 2017 with a Welcome Dinner Party at the Nice Acropolis Convention Centre, Les Muses Terrace at 20:00, and the conference ends after lunch on Wednesday 5 April 2017.

02. Why should I attend the event?

Attendees are given a whole host of unique opportunities to closely network with Teradata customers, prospects, and partners to discuss challenges and solutions in small or large groups. In addition to the networking opportunities, you’ll be able to visit the Expo, book 1:1 meetings, and join executive and industry roundtables. Plus, you’ll have a great time at the cocktail party, social events, and lunches hosted by selected customers.

03. What if I need a visa to travel to Nice?

04. How far are the conference hotels from the airport and the Nice Acropolis Convention Centre?

The NH Nice Hotel is a five minute walk from the Nice Acropolis Convention Centre, and ten minutes by taxi from Nice International Airport.

The Novotel Nice Centre Vieux Nice is opposite the Nice Acropolis Convention Centre and is also a ten-minute taxi ride from Nice International Airport.

Le Méridien Nice is a short drive from Nice International Airport, and a leisurely walk or tram journey away from Nice Acropolis Convention Centre.

The Radisson Blu Hotel Nice is not within walking distance of the Nice Acropolis Convention Centre, so bus transfers will be arranged for delegates staying here. The hotel is four kilometres from Nice International Airport.

Most, but not all, taxis accept credit cards so please check with the driver before travelling.

05. Does Teradata arrange accommodation and travel services for the conference participants?

Conference attendees should arrange their own flights and ground transportation.

Teradata has pre-booked rooms at the Radisson Blu Hotel Nice, the NH Nice Hotel, the Novotel Nice Centre Vieux Nice, and Le Méridien Nice. These rooms can be booked via the registration tool on our website.

06. How much is it to attend the conference and what does that cover?

  • The fee for the full programme is €1400.
  • Rates are:
    Full rate: after 4 February 2017 = €1400*
    (* + 20% French VAT)
  • Fees include access to the conference sessions, a conference bag, entry to the Universe Expo, lunches, refreshments, and the evening events.
  • Anyone accompanying attendees can join the Welcome Dinner Party at Nice Acropolis Convention Centre, Les Muses Terrace, and the Conference Dinner at Palm Beach, Cannes for a combined fee of €180.
  • The Nice City Tour on Sunday afternoon is free of charge (pre-registration essential).

07. When will I receive my conference badge?

You can pick up your conference badge from the Teradata Hospitality desk in the Nice Acropolis Convention Centre, Level 1 Agora 1.

The desk will be open at the following times:

Monday 3 April 2017 from 7:30 till 18:30
Tuesday 4 April 2017 from 7:30 till 18:30
Wednesday 5 April 2017 from 7:30 till 14:00

08. Do I need a badge to join the Nice City Tour on Sunday 2 April?

No. People taking part in the Nice City Tour will leave directly from their hotels.

Groups of 25 and their guides will leave on foot from Le Méridien, the Novotel, and the NH, for the walking Nice City Tour.

Attendees from the Radisson Blu will be taken to the Old Town by bus to join the walking tour. Afterwards, a Radisson Blu return coach will be available.

09. Can I bring a guest with me on the Nice City Tour on Sunday 2 April?

Yes, guests can join the Nice City Tour – if previously registered. The tour is free of charge for both delegates and their guests.

Please note: Pre-registration is required (for you and any guests) as these tours are always very popular and, consequently, places are limited.

10. Will the presentations be available after the conference?

Presentations authorised for further distribution will be accessible online, post-event, via a special code. Details will be emailed to attendees after the conference.

11. Is there a dress code?

Yes. Business casual for all conference sessions.

12. What if I need to cancel?

If you cancel your conference participation by logging onto your online personal profile before 13 March 2017, you will receive a full refund minus a service charge of €150. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after that date. Cancellations are only possible via your online personal profile (cancellations via email or phone are not valid). For substitutions, please contact registrations@nextevent.be.

There will be no charge if you cancel your hotel reservation before 17 March 2017. Cancellations made after 17 March 2017 (and no-shows) will be charged for the entire booking period (including VAT). Cancellations and alterations must be made through your online account. For substitutions, please contact registrations@nextevent.be.

13. Is there a Mobile App for Universe?

A mobile app is available for registered delegates before and during Teradata Universe EMEA 2017. It includes a scheduler, presenter information, practical information, maps, hotels, surveys, and contact information.

Full information on how to download and use the Universe EMEA 2017 event mobile app are sent via email to all registrants in the registration confirmation email.

There is WiFi throughout the Nice Acropolis Convention Centre, so information updates will be readily available.

14. How do I change my registration and hotel details via the website?

If you are already registered, please login here with your username and password. All changes to your profile, conference information, and hotel booking, can be completed online via the system. You can also re-send your confirmation to your email address via this system. Any questions, please contact registrations@nextevent.be.

15. Badges (QR Codes)

Attendees are required to wear the official conference badge to join sessions, Expo, special-interest groups, and social events.

Each badge will have a QR code containing your details (name, job title, company name and address, email address) and can be scanned with a smartphone. It will also allow you to receive digital business cards from your peers. When visiting the Expo, you may be asked by exhibitors for your QR Code for booth-lead tracking.

16. How do I get a meeting organised with Teradata customers, conference speakers, Teradata executives or a conference sponsor?

A dedicated meeting desk will be set up in the Rhodes Foyer (Level 1) to handle arrangements, but we strongly recommend that you book meetings in advance. Ask your account representative to request a meeting with a Teradata customer, conference speaker, Teradata executive, or a sponsoring partner company of Teradata, for you. 17. How do I get to the Convention Centre?

Public transport

Take a tram towards ‘Hôpital Pasteur’. Get off at ‘Acropolis’.

From the A8 motorway ‘Provencal’, take Exit 50 towards ‘Nice Centre’ and the ‘Promenade des Anglais’. Then follow the sign ‘Acropolis’.
