Designed by the talented Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, the very original Samuel Beckett Bridge on the River Liffey boasts unmistakable modernity and charm, with  its unique tension cables paying homage to the Guinness harp!

The bridge is provided with both cycle and footpaths: take a ride or a walk and enjoy the sight.

This ambitious project was funded by the Department of the Environment Heritage, together with the Local Government, the Dublin City Council and the Dublin Docklands Development Authority.
