01. When and where will Teradata Universe EMEA 2018 take place?

The conference will take place in London (UK) at ICC London @ ExCel.
Teradata Universe EMEA 2018 starts on Sunday 22 April 2018 with a welcome dinner party, and ends after lunch on Wednesday 25 April 2018.

02. Why should I attend the conference?

Attendees are given unparalleled opportunities to network with Teradata customers, prospects and partners. This is your chance to discuss business challenges and solutions with your peers. You shall also visit the Expo to learn about the latest data and analytics technologies, book 1:1 meetings with industry leaders, executives and subject matter experts. That’s not to mention the social events, and Teradata customer-hosted lunches that round off an extremely vibrant conference.

03. What is the cost of a conference pass, and what is included in that price?

The cost of a full pass to the conference is €1500* (corresponding to £1340*)

Very early bird: discounted rate available until 31 December 2017 = €900* (corresponding to £805*)
Early bird: discounted rate available until 2 March 2018 = €1150* (corresponding to £1030*)
Full Attendance Fee: after 2 March 2018 = €1500* (corresponding to £1340*)

  • Your conference pass includes access to all conference sessions, a conference bag, entry to the Expo, lunches and refreshments on each day of the conference, and access to group social events (welcome dinner and conference dinner).
  • Vouchers for individual London city sightseeing (hop-on hop-off bus plus single Thames river cruise) for use on Sunday 22 April are also provided along with your conference entry ticket. Pre-registration is required.
  • One accompanying person per registrant can attend the Welcome Dinner Party and the Conference Dinner at the combined price of €250 (corresponding to £225*) Pre-registration is required.


* All above rates are exclusive of UK VAT that will be charged at the rate of 20% at the time of the payment. All transactions will be charged in EUR€ at the time of the registration. The GBP£ rate shown is based on a fixed rate and is only as reference.

 

04. I need a Visa to travel to London, what should I do?

If you require a Visa to travel to London, download this form, fill out your personal information and send it to Teradata.Internationalevents@Teradata.com. You will receive a signed copy in return for use within your Visa application. This form must be sent no later than 16 March 2018. Any forms received after that date will not be returned. 05. Will Teradata arrange accommodation and travel services for conference participants?

Conference attendees should arrange their own flights and ground transportation.
Teradata has contracted special group room rates with a number of hotels close to the conference venue. For hotel details, view the dedicated hotels page. Hotel room reservation information provided as part of the conference registration.

06. How do I get to the conference venue?

ICC London @ ExCeL (east entrance) is easy to reach from central London using the Overground, Underground and Docklands Light Railway (DLR). The closest station is Prince Regent on the DLR.

Guests staying at Aloft, DoubleTree by Hilton London ExCel, Sunborn Yacht Hotel, or Novotel London ExCel can easily walk to ICC London @ ExCeL.

Guests staying at InterContinental London – The O2 can either take the Jubilee Line to Canning Town then DLR to Prince Regent, or enjoy a ride on the Emirates Air Line then walk approx. 10 min to get to London ExCeL (west entrance). From there you can reach ICC London @ ExCeL at the end of the boulevard.

08. Which airports service London?

London has five major airports: London City, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London Luton and London Stansted. The most convenient airport to reach the conference center is London City airport.

10. Can you tell me more about the conference badge?

Attendees are required to wear the official conference badge to join sessions, the Expo and social events (welcome dinner party and conference dinner).

Each badge holds a QR code, which contains your registrant details (full name, job title, company name and address, email address). This can be scanned with a mobile device. Exhibitors may ask to scan your QR code as a fast and convenient way for them to collect your contacts and follow up with you after the conference has closed. The QR code will also allow you to receive digital business cards quickly and easily from your peers.

11. When will I receive my conference badge?

Badge is mandatory to access the conference venue, all session rooms, the Expo Hall as well as social events. Please check-in upon arrival at the Teradata Registration Desk located on level 0 at ICC London @ ExCeL to collect your badge and make sure you always keep it with you for all the duration of the event.

12. Do I need a badge to join the London city sightseeing tour on Sunday 22 April 2018?

Your conference badge is not required for the London city sightseeing tour as this is an individual programme. A separate Big Bus Tours voucher will be provided to those pre-registered for the activity.

13. Can I bring a guest with me on the London city sightseeing tour on Sunday 22 April 2018?

You must pre-register your guest for this activity as part of your conference registration in order to receive a tour voucher for you and one for your guest. The voucher is valid for one day, and grants access to hop-on hop-off London Big Bus Tours buses, plus a one-way cruise on The River Thames.

14. Will presentations be made available for download following the conference?

Any presentations that have been authorised by speakers for further distribution will be accessible online after the conference. A special access code will be emailed to attendees after the conference has closed.

15. Is there a dress code?

Attendees are expected to dress ‘business casual’ for all conference sessions and social events.

16. How do I change my registration and hotel details via the website?

Changes to registrant profile, conference agenda, guest registration are possible by logging in on your online registration profile using the login provided in the registration confirmation email. It is also possible to re-send the registration confirmation from the online registration profile to your email address.

17. What if I need to cancel my attendance?

You can cancel your conference registration by logging in on your online registration profile before 22 March 2018 and you will receive a full refund minus a service charge of 200€. We regret no refunds can be made for cancellations received after 22 March 2018. Cancellations are only possible via your online personal profile; cancellations via email or phone are not accepted. For substitutions, please contact registrations@nextevent.be.

19. Does Teradata Universe EMEA 2018 have a mobile app?

The Universe EMEA 2018 Mobile App is the "one stop shop" for all the event information and to enhance your event experience - ensure you download it and log-in to build your personal schedule, bookmark unmissable sessions and speakers, network with other delegates and join the conversation on social media.

The App will be launched one month before the conference. Please check your mailbox as we will send an invite with instructions on how to download and login to the app.

20. How can I organise meetings with Teradata customers, conference speakers, Teradata executives or conference sponsors?

We strongly recommend you book meetings in advance. Ask your account representative to request a meeting on your behalf. However, during the conference, you will find a dedicated meeting desk within ICC London @ ExCeL where you will be able to get assistance for setting up 1:1 meetings.
