Known in the name of “Baile Átha Cliath” in Irish, Dublin is the largest city and capital of Ireland. The city’s name in English is inspired from the Irish phrase “Dubh Linn” which means “Black Pool”. The city is based at the mouth of the River Liffey near the midpoint of the east coast of Ireland and at the centre of the Dublin Region.
