Daniel Neuhaus is leading Business Intelligence Center at Swisscom (Switzerland) Ltd. His mission is to consolidate different Business Intelligence Platforms and to ensure that Analytics is supporting a broad range of business processes. Active in the BI & data warehousing over 15 years Daniel is focusing since about 5 years on the theme “how an effective BI Organisation should look like”.
Before joining Swisscom in January 2008 he was Head of Business Intelligence at Orange Communications SA and working previously as a freelance consultant on various Business Intelligence, Enterprise Performance Management and CRM initiatives.

Abstract

On 1 January, 2008 the hitherto Group companies Fixnet, Mobile and Solutions are replaced by Swisscom (Switzerland) Ltd, comprising the Residential Customers, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Corporate Business divisions. This merger triggered a significant transformation in the Business Units, defining their business strategies, and IT-Division, starting efficiency program by consolidating the IT system landscape.
In this “stress field” you will find the Business Intelligence Topic. On one side consolidating all the BI Platforms (8 SAP BI’s, 3 DWH, 6 analytical environments) and on the other side providing a continuous business value. Daniel will talk about how to approach such a significant change, how to manage this complexity and what is an adequate Organization to make Business Intelligence effective and efficient in a constantly changing environment.
