Antonio Sanchez Chinchón has a degree in Mathematics from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. Antonio began his professional career in Bayes Inference, working in the design of forecast systems for Telefónica. Later he joined Unión Fenosa, where he worked in the area of Business Intelligence. From 1999 he develops his career in Telefónica, first in the Data Mining Area of Business Intelligence and since four years ago in the Unit of Wireline Business Studies. Throughout all his career in Telefónica, Antonio has been linked to the analysis of the information residing in the Data Warehouse.

Abstract

Telefónica’s Business Intelligence department has developed a powerful methodology oriented to find optimal prices and to configure optimal portfolios of products. It has been used in several relevant projects with great results in terms of time saving and accuracy of the prices founded. One of this projects is the pricing of Global Broadband for Residential market, where Telefónica España has defined a portfolio of products oriented to actual customers of broadband that maximices the expected revenue without forgeting another segments of actual and potential customers
