Abstract

Decision making in stormy waters is more essential than ever before to better survive intensified competition. Lufthansa Passage Airlines designed an Enterprise Data Warehouse to integrate all relevant business areas to achieve a single version of the truth for any decision support. The “BI-Cockpit” now encompass all booking, check-in, sales and fundamental cross-departmental data. The EDW is fed with data from more than 100 source systems and is continuously updating on a daily basis and on an intraday basis in particular areas. With this company-wide analysis capacity for over 1,000 employees around the world, Lufthansa improves customer service, marketing, sales and operational processes.
